Goal: Rebuilding and Retaining

The Memphis District Order of the Eastern will host an Open House outreach effort designed to share knowledge with ladies who have expressed an interest in the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, widows and granddaughters of Prince Hall Masons are encouraged to attend. This also, presents an opportunity to show that the Order is family oriented. Valuable information will be shared regarding the Sunbeams and the Knights of Pythagoras which are the youth groups of the order. Potential members rely on knowledgeable members to answer their questions about the organization. The speakers will present clearly what it means to be a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as, what members are in place to do. A simple fact sheet outlining the following information will be provided:

-The organization’s purpose
-Past successes
-Types of activities
-Future plans
-Expectations of members
-Benefits to member
